If you can’t log into Facebook, you can use the trusted contacts option to recover the account. But it will not work straight away, and you’d have to set the trusted contacts beforehand.

Yes, you need to set the trusted contacts on your Facebook account, which can be used to recover your account. You can choose up to 5 trusted contacts, and they will receive a verification code when you try to recover your account.

 

Here is how to set up Trusted Contacts on Facebook.

·         Open Settings on Facebook and then click on the Security and Login from the left pane.

·         Now, you have to look for ‘Choose friends to contact if you are locked out’ option.

·         Click on the edit button located next to it and a select minimum of three or a maximum of five contacts.

This way, when you forget the password of your account, you can recover it with the help of one of the contacts in the list.
